Information in the app

Without an account, your profile name and photo, saved drinks, favorites, shopping list, chat history and photos you add are stored on your device. If you sign in with Google, Drinx uses your Google account identifier and basic profile details to create your account. It syncs those app items and photos through Google Firebase so they are available on your other devices. We do not request access to your Gmail, Drive, contacts or calendar.

Drinx currently uses Apple’s on-device tools to read photos and help with recipes when available. The app also has a basic mode when those tools are unavailable. We do not currently run an app analytics or crash reporting service. Your device and Apple may process diagnostic information under your device settings.

Where synced data goes

Google Firebase provides sign-in and cloud storage. We chose Google’s Netherlands region for synced drinks, lists, chats and photos. Google processes account authentication as part of sign-in. Drinx keeps a copy of your synced information on each device where you sign in so the app can work locally.

Web image search

When Drinx looks for a picture of a drink online, it sends a search phrase based on the drink name and ingredients to DuckDuckGo. If the app downloads a result, the image host may receive standard network information such as your IP address. Photos you take or select are not sent to DuckDuckGo for this search.

Website and support

This website is a static site. It does not use analytics, advertising trackers or sign-up forms. The hosting provider may keep ordinary server logs needed to deliver and secure the site. If you email us, we receive the information you include and use it to answer your request. We keep support messages only as long as needed for support and legal obligations.

Storage and deletion

We keep your app data until you delete it. Without an account, open Profile and choose “Delete my data” to remove it from that device. If you signed in, choose “Delete account and data” in Profile to remove your Drinx sign-in, synced app data and that device’s copy. Google may retain limited information according to its own policies. Copies in your device backups are controlled by your Apple backup settings. To ask us to delete a support message or for help with account deletion, email privacy@thedrinxapp.com.

Changes

We will update this page before introducing cloud AI features or making other material changes to how the app handles your data. The updated date at the top will show when the policy changed.
